'ALIEN' TV SERIES SHOWRUNNER HINTS AT MULTI-SEASON PLAN FOR PREQUEL11/29/23 @ 2:05 pm EST
Source: ComicBook | Categories: Alien | Comments (0) | E-mail Article | Add a Comment
The current landscape of prestige TV series means we don't always know the difference between a limited series and an ongoing storyline, and while we know we can expect one season of storytelling from Noah Hawley's upcoming
Alien program, the showrunner recently addressed how he's approaching the overall length of the story. "There's definitely a place that I'm going, which I had with [Marvel's]
Legion, also. I just don't necessarily know how long it's gonna take me to get there, and on some level, I don't want to know too much," Hawley recalled."There's definitely a place that I'm going, which I had with
Legion, also. I just don't necessarily know how long it's gonna take me to get there, and on some level, I don't want to know too much," Hawley told Collider. "Once you remove the play and the potential and the imagination, that's why I've stopped outlining anything. First of all, no one ever said, 'That's the best outline I ever read.' And second of all, it's just a different part of your brain, honestly. It's a different part of your brain that thinks about story that way versus the part of your brain that is writing the story. What we do is we get the writers in a room and we've got the whiteboards and we start big picture." It doesn't seem as though the project will embrace an anthology premise like Hawley's
Fargo, which has allowed multiple disconnected stories to be told in that world. With the project likely to have a relatively large budget, due to its sci-fi themes, the length of the series will likely be dependent upon how popular it is and whether FX opts to pursue the costly endeavor. (via

DISNEY CONFIRMS 'DEADPOOL 3' RESUMES PRODUCTION11/28/23 @ 6:19 pm EST
Source: ComicBook | Categories: Marvel | Comments (0) | E-mail Article | Add a Comment
Disney has confirmed that
Deadpool 3 is officially filming again. Today, during a Disney Town Hall, Disney Entertainment co-chair Alan Bergman said that the Ryan Reynolds three-quel is back in production. The movie has a lot riding on it as the MCU will feature only one cinematic offering now in 2024.
Captain America: Brave New World got moved to 2025, and that means
Deadpool 3 is the big summer blockbuster that Disney will be hanging its hat on. There's more than a little room for optimism, though.
Deadpool 3 finally unites Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, but for the first time in a Marvel Studios title. But that won't be the only source of fan hype as the movie nears completion. A lot of the Fox X-Men cast have been rumored to cameo in this one. In fact, a lot of the Fox Marvel stars have been rumored or confirmed to be along for the ride as well. Elektra star Jennifer Garner is already aboard and the whispers about other famous faces turning up for at least a second are inescapable on the Internet. Also of note for MCU fans are promises of The Multiverse Saga continuing to develop as the Fox Marvel characters are integrated. (via

Robert Eggers‘ long-in-the-works remake of “Nosferatu” will haunt theaters next Christmas.Focus Features has scheduled the movie for Dec. 25, 2024. On its current release date, “Nosferatu” will land on the big screen a few days after Disney’s “Lion King” prequel “Mufasa” and Paramount’s “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” both of which open on Dec. 20.Eggers wrote and directed this take on “Nosferatu,” which features an ensemble cast of Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney and Willem Dafoe. It’s the second remake of F. W. Murnau’s iconic 1922 Dracula-inspired silent movie, following Werner Herzog’s 1979 film “Nosferatu the Vampyre.” The new imagining of the cinematic classic is described as a “gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.” Eggers’ vision was first announced in 2015 and, at one point, was going to star Harry Styles.
