Cobra KaiSTEPHANIE MARCH JOINS AVA DUVERNAY'S 'NAOMI' DC SERIES12/08/21 @ 9:11 am EST
producer Josh Heald says season 5 is not the end of the show. Set 34 years after Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) defeats Johnny (William Zabka) in the 1984 All-Valley Tournament at the end of The Karate Kid
, Cobra Kai
has become a massive success for Netflix after the streaming service scooped up the series from YouTube Premium.
Ahead of its season 4 premiere, Cobra Kai
was renewed by Netflix for another installment, which will not be the last.
Speaking with Screen Rant
, Heald says that Cobra Kai
season 5 is not the end of the series. When asked how much story is left to tell, Heald confirmed there is more Cobra Kai
to come beyond season 5. Revealing that season 5 is “another enormous season,” Heald teases the upcoming season will unfold events fans haven’t seen before on the show.
"We have more beyond season 5," Heald said. "We are not writing to the end of the series in season 5 right now. We can't believe we've filmed two seasons of the show this year. In our minds, it's crazy to believe how far ahead of the story we are than what the audience has seen so far. Season 5 is another enormous season with a lot of new flavors and a lot of things that you haven't seen before yet on the show. And it's not the end."Cobra Kai
season 4 debuts on Netflix on December 31.

LEGENDARY MARVEL AND DC COMICS ARTIST GEORGE PEREZ REVEALS HE HAS INOPERABLE CANCER12/07/21 @ 4:05 pm EST
Kyle Richards is reprising her original “Halloween” role once again in “Halloween Ends,” the final installment in David Gordon Green’s new trilogy of films in the iconic horror series, Variety
Richards recently closed her deal for “Halloween Ends,” which heads into production next month and is set to be released in Oct. 2022.
Richards will join star Jamie Lee Curtis, who she first met as a child actor when she was cast at the age of eight in the original “Halloween” as Lindsey Wallace, the character who Curtis’ Laurie Strode babysat in the 1978 film from director John Carpenter.
Richards — known for being a fan-favorite, original cast member on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” — had a small, but memorable, part in this year’s “Halloween Kills,” which was the second series installment from director David Gordon Green, following his first revamped “Halloween” flick in 2018.

NEW 'JUDGE DREDD' COMIC FEATURES CROSSOVER WITH SYLVESTER STALLONE & KARL URBAN MOVIES12/07/21 @ 11:53 am EST
Comics legend George Perez announced that he has inoperable cancer this week. The Marvel and DC Comics artist broke the news directly to his fans on Facebook.
On social media, the outpouring of support has already begun as millions have been inspired by his work on multiple titles. Fans remember his classic stints with Teen Titans, Wonder Woman, Avengers
, and many more.
In his letter on Facebook, he mentioned a similar tribute surge after he announced his retirement from comics back in 2019. People posted fan art and peers shared stories of working with and learning from one comics' greats. Now, he's opting to let "nature take its course" instead of pursuing chemotherapy to treat the Stage 3 cancer.
You can read his response down below for yourself.
"To all my fans, friends, and extended family, It's rather hard to believe that it's been almost three years since I formally announced my retirement from producing comics due to my failing vision and other infirmities brought on primarily by my diabetes," he began. "At the time I was flattered and humbled by the number of tributes and testimonials given me by my fans and peers. The kind words spoken on those occasions were so heartwarming that I used to quip that 'the only thing missing from those events was me lying in a box.'
"It was amusing at the time, I thought," Perez continued. "Now, not so much. On November 29th I received confirmation that, after undergoing surgery for a blockage in my liver, I have Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. It is surgically inoperable and my estimated life expectancy is between 6 months to a year. I have been given the option of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy, but after weighing all the variables and assessing just how much of my remaining days would be eaten up by doctor visits, treatments, hospital stays, and dealing with the often stressful and frustrating bureaucracy of the medical system, I've opted to just let nature take its course and I will enjoy whatever time I have left as fully as possibly with my beautiful wife of over 40 years, my family, friends, and my fans." DAVE BAUTISTA TO STAR IN M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN'S NEXT FILM 'KNOCK AT THE CABIN'12/07/21 @ 11:42 am EST
Judge Dredd fans are in for a special treat this holiday season. The latest issue of Rebellion's 2000AD magazine features a very unlikely pop culture crossover, as the comic book version of Dredd meets his cinematic counterparts.
That's right, this new story teams the classic Judge Dredd with the versions played by Sylvester Stallone in 1995's Judge Dredd movie and Karl Urban in 2012's Dredd. Even Dredd is getting into the multiverse game now.
The bizarre crossover will be explored in a new 11-page story in the upcoming Christmas edition of 2000AD. The story is written by Ken Niemand and drawn by Richard Elson. There's no word yet on whether this crossover is a one-off event or if the Stallone and Urban Dredds might stick around the pages of 2000AD. (via IGN
2000AD subscribers will receive this issue on Saturday, December 11, and it'll be available for individual purchase online and through the 2000AD app on Thursday, December 16.

'VENOM 3' IN THE WORKS, CONFIRMS 'SPIDER-MAN' PRODUCER AMY PASCAL12/07/21 @ 11:28 am EST
After working with big-name directors like Denis Villeneuve and Rian Johnson, Dave Bautista has found his next A-list director to work as the Dune
actor is in negotiations to star in M. Night Shyamalan’s new top secret pic Knock at the Cabin.
Shyamalan will write and direct, and also produce with Ashwin Rajan under the filmmaker’s Blinding Edge Pictures banner alongside Marc Bienstock and Steven Schneider.
Universal recently dated the film to bow on February 3, 2023.
While his most recent film, Old,
involved a large ensemble, Shyamalan has always like to have one or two big movie stars anchoring his films — like Bruce Willis, Mark Wahlberg and James McAvoy — and given his track record of great scripts stars are always lining up. Bautista was quick to jump at the opportunity to work with the Oscar-nominated director. Old
grossed more than $90 million at the global box office, and repped Shyamalan’s sixth movie to open at No. 1. (via Deadline

Get ready for more adventures with Eddie Brock and Venom!Spider-Man
producer Amy Pascal has confirmed that a third Venom
film is currently in the works. This comes a few months following the release of the sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage
, and just days before the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home
. While Pascal's comments indicate that the film is in its very early stages, this means that fans can safely expect another outing of Tom Hardy as the human and symbiote duo.
"We are in the planning stages right now but what we are focused on is getting everybody to come and see No Way Home
," Pascal said in an interview.
As soon as Venom: Let There Be Carnage
debuted, fans began to wonder what the future would hold for Hardy's take on the human and symbiote, both within potential Spider-Man
installments and outside of it.
"These things [usually] come in threes," Hardy explained. "If there's going to be a new one – and they depend heavily on the success of each individual one, so you can't count on them ever happening again – every one has got to be as if it was the last one. But I think it's really important, if you go into something, thinking that one, two and three are the same... the same story, the same film. So that you don't surprise yourself by being caught out by suddenly having to do a third from nowhere. There's got to be some continuity into a third and fourth and fifth, and if somebody says 'no', that's fine. Let it go, and you move on to something else." (via ComicBook.com
