Pat Lee's turning heads with his take on the Robots in Disguise. Month after month, Transformers is consistently improving and at the tops of the comics order charts. Dynamic Forces is releasing a hardcover collection of the series and we caught up with Pat Lee to find out a little about his feelings on the Transformers. DYNAMIC FORCES: So, who are the Transformers? PAT LEE: The Transformers are, “More than Meets the Eye.” DF: And with that thought in mind, what do you like best about these characters and their abilities? PL: The fact that they can transform from one object to the next, I find that fascinating! I also love how each character has its own personality and that builds a lot of interest into fans.

DF: What made you really want to publish this series and work on it?
PL: Because I was a fan ever since I was really really young. I also used to draw a lot of Transformers as a child.

DF: Were there any major difficulties involved with obtaining the license?
PL: I think the largest difficulty in obtaining the license for Transformers was convincing everyone that a company that had just left Image was up to the task of doing a huge project.

DF: And now that you’ve proved to everyone that you were indeed up to the task, what can you describe as being some of the most rewarding experiences since publishing this series? How has fan reaction been?
PL: I would say the most rewarding aspect with TF is probably the fact that we’ve been given an opportunity to take a large entity and help build on it. TF has great history, and to please the fans was one of our greatest goals. We are happy with the response that we are getting with TF G1.

DF: What do you like the best about creating Transformers?
PL: The fact that we are taking something from our childhood and doing our spin on it.

DF: You have a special Dynamic Forces hardback edition coming out – what’s collected in there and what other projects are you doing with Dynamic Forces?
PL: Well, I'd like to talk about everything that we're doing with Dynamic Forces, but it needs to remain shrouded in mystery for now.... Expect announcements shortly, though!

DF: What other projects are you working on?
PL: I'm working on my own personal project, but it doesn't launch until late next year, it's probably going to be the best penciling work I've ever done. It's a project I have been meaning to put out in a long time.
