DYNAMIC
FORCES: What makes Dynamic Forces a
good outlet for Marvel products? Out of all the other
producers out there, why continue with Dynamic Forces
for the bigger projects?
JOE QUESADA:
Overall Dynamic does a good job with their products.
Have you checked out their lithos and sculpts?

DF:
When did you first become aware of the products Dynamic Forces
offers?
JQ: Jeeze, that
was a long time ago. I've been doing business with Dynamic
since Sword of Azrael. (And that was back when the other George
Bush was President! Ed.)
DF:
Dynamic has produced so many busts featuring characters in
and around the Marvel Universe... Which ones have been favorites
and why?
JQ: I like the
recent Spidey and Goblin busts because if you put them together
with the Goblin on the left and Spidey on the right they lean
together like bosom buddies.
DF:
Which, if any, do you wish were done different? Why?
JQ: I don't
like to focus on negative things. The majority of Dynamics
products are very good.
DF:
Which DF pieces do you personally own? What do you like the
best about each?
JQ: Wow, let's
see they send me all their stuff but I'm still waiting for
my giant life-size Spidey head. (For everyone else waiting
for theirs, too, they’re coming! Really! Ed.)
DF:
What role did you have in the upcoming Marvel Dioramas that
Dynamic Forces is producing? When you heard about the idea
for these pieces, what were your initial thoughts?
JQ: I thought
it was a fun idea. I recommended some concepts but most of
all I'm part of the approval process with these pieces.
DF:
Which Dioramas are you looking forward to seeing?
JQ: All of them
although I'm most looking forward to the Joe Quesada in his
EIC Office diorama. Hey, I notice that you always capitalize
diorama, am I doing something wrong?
DF:
When the first run of Dioramas are done, what other moments
from Marvel history would you like to see immortalized in
this fashion?
JQ: Six armed
Spider-Man!
DF:
What's the value, from your point of view, to fans being able
to own pieces of Marvel history and memorabilia through the
busts, lithographs, dioramas, and other products DF offers?
JQ: It's an
untapped market.
DF:
If you could get any sculptor from any point in time to create
a specific piece for Marvel Comics, whom would you choose
and what piece would you like to see this creator immortalize?
JQ: Hmm, I would
have to think about that.
DF:
If you were making a Joe Quesada bust for an anniversary present
to your wife, Nanci, who would you want to have the job of
sculpting your likeness and why?
JQ: Someone
who wouldn't mind seeing Nanci clock me over the head with
a lame gift like that.
DF:
Busts, lithographs, comics, dioramas; what product - if any
- is Dynamic Forces lacking that you'd love to see them do
a Marvel version of?
JQ: Edible underwear.
Is there anything left?
DF:
What upcoming Marvel comics are you excited about?
JQ: All of them!
DF:
What other projects are you working on?
JQ: All of them!
