Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon is hitting Netflix a little bit early this month. On social media, the Netflix account teased a special December 21 release date at 7pm PT. So, the countdown is already on for Zack Snyder's latest project. CCXP last week brought some new reveals about the film. The convention also saw the director stepping onto the show floor to offer direct instruction to fans who wanted to get into their own custom trailer for the film. So, the hype just continues to build. In fact, Rebel Moon's first chapter is just the start of the ride with the sequel already announced and in the works. In the newest Rebel Moon teaser, the pulse-pounding action takes center stage. But, Rebel Moon: Part One: A Child of Fire fans are already whispering about the ending. Snyder only threw gasoline on the fire when he teased a cliffhanger in an interview with Total Film. "The truth is that movie one is a set-up for movie two," Snyder revealed. The forthcoming Savage Dragon Vault Edition will collect the early creative origins of one of Image Comics’ titular, best-loved characters and longest-running titles. This highly anticipated edition will reproduce Erik Larsen’s iconic, original Savage Dragon miniseries artwork from the ‘90s, plus additional pages from the expanded Dragon miniseries that was released in 1996. It is set to hit shelves this October from Image Comics. This limited print run Savage Dragon Vault Edition oversized (12x17) hardcover will treat fans with special, archival quality reproductions of the art boards for every image that was used for the Savage Dragon #1-3, The Dragon #1-5, and the first Savage Dragon trade paperback, including all covers and pin-ups. Vertical has acquired U.S. rights to the fantasy film In the Lost Lands, reuniting Resident Evil filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson and star Milla Jovovich, from Constantin Film. Based on a short story by Game of Thrones‘ George R.R. Martin, the movie also stars Dave Bautista of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. It’ll be be released exclusively in theaters early next year. The story centers on a queen who, desperate to fulfill her love, makes a daring play: she sends the powerful and feared sorceress Gray Alys (Jovovich) to the ghostly wilderness of the Lost Lands in search of a magical power, where the sorceress and her guide, the drifter Boyce (Bautista), must outwit and outfight man and demon. Moana is officially a wayfinder, but she's also now a big sister. Moana 2, which hits theaters on Nov. 27, introduces a host of fresh faces, but perhaps the most important one of all is a sibling who ties Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) back to home more strongly than ever before. In the sequel, animators introduce Simea (Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda,) a rambunctious 3-and-a-half-year-old who wants to be just like her big sister. Simea has always been a key part of continuing Moana's story and is a character who's been part of the mix as far back as the early days of development on a Moana Disney+ series, which was then redirected to become this film. Co-director David Derrick Jr. was inspired to create Simea by his own family life (he has a young daughter, Samea) and the age gap between his kids. During the pandemic lockdown, his daughter, now 21, spent a lot of time with his son, now 7 — and their bond was tested when his daughter was able to venture out into the world again. From executive producers/co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot and Sony Pictures TV, Spider-Noir tells the story of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero. Uziel and Lightfoot developed the series with the Academy Award-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal.
