SNEAK PEEK OF HORROR COMIC 'THE FEEDING' BY DAVID BOOHER & DREW ZUCKER

Eisner and GLAAD Award-nominated writer David M. Booher (Rain) and fan-favorite artist Drew Zucker (The House), the team behind hit fantasy comic book series Canto, are teaming up again for the new horror one-shot comic book The Feeding from Syzygy Publishing and Image Comics. Debuting this October, the oversized comic is a throwback to self-contained horror and sci-fi stories in the vein of Tales from the Crypt, Creepshow, and The Twilight Zone. In The Feeding, Nolan Ward has done everything to forget his disturbing past. Drinking. Drugs. Day-Trading. Sex. And still, that past has caught up with him in the form of a twisted painting called The Feeding…that eats people. And it’s hungry. Can Nolan stop this demon or will he be devoured like so many others before him? Readers will go on a surreal journey into one man’s bloody psyche…to a place and time when art is dangerous and no one is safe. Booher and Zucker are joined by Vittorio Astone on colors and Andworld Design on letters to bring this terrifying tale to life. “I’m thrilled to celebrate spooky season with The Feeding,” said Booher. “I grew up on horror stories, so it’s a treat to work with my buddy Drew Zucker to create this creepy love letter to series like Tales from the Crypt and Creepshow. Huge thanks to comics champion Chris Ryall with Syzygy Publishing and Image Comics for helping us bring this labor of love to a wide audience. Halloween is just around the corner, and readers are in for a bloody treat!" “It’s so exciting to be revisiting horror as a genre and to be doing it with this team,” said Zucker. “We’ve spent a lot of years now honing our skills and to have the chance to tell scary stories with this group really feels like being a kid telling ghost stories around the campfire. I can’t wait for everyone to get scared with us.”

The Feeding will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 23:

Cover A by Drew Zucker & Vittorio Astone - Lunar Code 0824IM319

Cover B (1:20 B&W Virgin) by Drew Zucker - Lunar Code 0824IM320

The Feeding will also be available across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.

We’re just three months from the February 14th release of Captain America: Brave New World and Marvel Studios has released a new trailer while at D23 Expo Brazil. The film features Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, and Harrison Ford taking over the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, the new American President. The film is a return to the thriller feel that made Captain America: The Winter Soldier such a hit and shows us a building international story that brings together the long missing Samuel Sterns aka the Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) and answers the question of what’s going on with the giant Celestial sticking up out of the ocean from the Eternals. A spiritual sequel to the 2008 Incredible Hulk, the film not only brings back Ross and Sterns but will also bring back Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) and introduce us to the Red Hulk. The movie also stars Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, and Danny RamirezCap 4
NEW THUNDERBOLTS* TRAILER FEEDS SPECULATION ABOUT TASKMASTER

Source: YouTube | Comments (0) | E-mail Article | Add a Comment
Marvel released a new clip and trailer for the upcoming Thunderbolts* film which includes a scene that has Red Guardian (David Harbour), Yelena (Florence Pugh), John Walker (Wyatt Russell) and Ghost (Ava Starr) traveling in a red limousine through the desert when a convoy of military vehicles start shooting at them. The convoy is then attacked by Bucky (Sebastian Stan) who takes them out easily and then he takes out the limo as well. From there we see that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Loius-Dreyfus) and the CIA are the ones who bought Avengers Tower, which she’s quite pleased with. We see a lot of action, most of which makes Bucky look bad-ass, but the one thing that people are talking about is just how little Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) appears in the scenes, leading speculation that the character may end up being killed off pretty early or she isn’t actually part of the team. The film will be in theaters May 2nd, 2025.  Thunderbolts

Disney’s D23 Expo in Brazil took place this weekend and we got a bit of interesting news including a release date for the long awaited second season of Star Wars: Andor. The Diego Luna lead spinoff which tells the story of Cassian Andor prior to the events of Rogue One was extremely well received by fans who have been waiting for the planned second season. Created by Tony Gilroy, the series was always planned for two seasons to cover the five years prior to Andor’s film appearance showing us how he got into the rebellion and his time as a member. Season one covers the first year while season two will be broken into segments that will cover four years of time. One of the big additions for the second season will be the appearance of Rogue One antagonist Orson Krennic played by Ben Mendelsohn showing that the stakes are getting higher. The second season will debut on April 22, 2025 on Disney+.  Andor
VILLENEUVE RESPONDS TO TARANTINO'S DUNE COMMENTS

Talking on his own podcast a few weeks back, director Quentin Tarantino said he had no interest in watching Denis Villeneuve’s Dune adaptations and used them as an example of Hollywood’s constant remaking of films to mitigate financial risk. “I saw [David Lynch’s original adaptation of] ‘Dune’ a couple of times. I don’t need to see that story again. I don’t need to see spice worms. I don’t need to see a movie that says the word ‘spice’ so dramatically.” Well, it turns out that Villeneuve is unfazed by critics of his work, especially those who haven’t seen it. He told the Montreal Gazette, “I don’t care. It’s true. I agree with him that I don’t like this idea of recycling and bringing back old ideas. But where I disagree is that what I did was not a remake. It’s an adaptation of the book. I see this as an original.” Villeneuve has a good point at what is considered a remake as opposed to a new adaptation. If the source material began existence as a movie, then you are remaking it. But if the source material is a novel or comic and you return to that material to create a new film… you are doing a new adaptation of that work. The films I Am Legend (2007), The Omega Man (1971) and The Last Man on Earth (1964) are all based on the novel I Am Legend by Richard Matheson, but none are considered remakes of the others.Dune
NICHOLAS HOULT TALKS THE EMOTIONAL BLOWS OF BATMAN AND SUPERMAN

Could you imagine getting the opportunity to audition for both Batman and Superman and not getting either part? That’s what Nicholas Hoult went through before being cast as Lex Luthor in the upcoming Superman movie. Hoult, who played Hank McCoy in the later X-Men films was a schedule to audition for Matt Reeves film when, “I remember a week before we did the Batman test, I was driving in my car and I had the radio on and they were talking on the radio about how Rob was going to be the new Batman. And I was like, ‘It’s not confirmed yet! I’m auditioning next weekend. Like, give me a chance.’” Hoult talked about the emotional experience while a guest on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “Your imagination does not know … you are aware on a practical level: ‘I know I am auditioning against Rob.’ And Rob is fantastic in that movie. That was the right decision. But you get excited by the prospect. Matt [Reeves] is a fantastic director and the script. It’s a cool movie and I want to be a part of it. It’s a brilliant character. There’s a weird period before you can get to the acceptance and see the movie and be like that was the right choice, you go through the period of ‘what could I have done different? Why not me?’ You run through all those things.” Hoult would then audition for and lose out on the role of Superman for James Gunn, but Gunn was aware of the situation. Hoult explained, “James Gunn is such a fantastic director and I was so excited by what he was building at DC. When we spoke…because they knew I had been through [the Batman] process, they didn’t want me to necessarily have to go through that again. That was very kind of them. There was an element of them being like, ‘We like you as an actor. We want you to be in this world.’”Nicholas Hoult

With the buzz about The Penguin going strong leading into the finale, scoopers are posting a lot of tidbits about The Batman 2 and other potential spinoff series in the works. But you should take those posts with a truckload of salt as the majority of them are just clickbait. Ina recent interview, Penguin star Colin Farrell said that he knew nothing about the Batman sequel and the only definitive word on him appearing at all in it came from director/writer Matt Reeves who said that the Penguin series will lead right into the sequel and that Oz Cobb will be in it. Nothing about how much or if he’s the big bad. And while Reeves recently said there are talks about other series they can do with HBO/Max, nothing official has been announced. A new rumor floating around the last few days claims that Barry Keoghan lead Joker series was in the works and that he would be the main villain for a third Batman film. Keoghan appeared briefly in The Batman as the Joker though the majority of his scenes were cut, he is the voice trying to befriend the Riddler at the end of the film. Keoghan has also said he knows nothing of the plans for his character and co-head of DC Studios, James Gunn, just took to social media to debunk the rumor all together saying definitively that there is no Joker series in the works.Joker Keoghan

Get ready to head back to the Pleistocene era!

Disney and 20th Century Animation announced Friday that “Ice Age 6” is in the works, which means that Manny, Sid, Diego and the rest of the herd will soon return to screens. In a video announcing the sequel, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, and Simon Pegg, who have all led the voice cast of the family franchise, announced that they are coming back for a new adventure. The film is currently in production.

The last “Ice Age” film, “Collision Course,” opened in theaters in 2016, grossing $408.5 million globallly. It’s a franchise that’s had legs — the first film, “Ice Age,” bowed in 2002. There have also been several shorts and series featuring various woolly mammoths, ground sloths, saber-tooth tigers and other prehistoric creatures who populate the films, as well as a 2022 spin-off, “The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild.” Audiences have been more receptive to the films than critics — the last entry suffered an 18% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Silent Night, Deadly Night

Terrifier franchise backer Cineverse is lining up another Christmas treat for genre fans in the shape of a reimagining of cult horror Silent Night, Deadly Night, Deadline reports.

Forty years after parents picketed outside of theaters following the release of the first Santa slasher movie in the franchise, Cineverse has acquired global rights to a new version and is launching during the American Film Market in Las Vegas.

The reboot of the franchise, written and directed by Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn, V/H/S/85) and produced by Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead, executive producers of the original 1984 Tri-Star film, alongside Jamie R. Thompson, goes into production “soon”. It is currently slated for a late 2025 theatrical release.

Silent Night, Deadly Night tells the story of a child who is traumatized after seeing his parents killed by a man dressed as Santa Claus. Years later, he dons a Santa suit himself and gets bloody revenge. The movie spawned multiple sequels over the years and a loose remake in 2012.
