YOUR FIRST LOOK AT I MOVED TO LOS ANGELES TO WORK IN ANIMATION10/19/18 @ 6:20 pm EST
Well, for those who thought they may be seeing Danny Rand, character star of the recently-canceled Marvel series Iron Fist
, appearing on tag team podna Luke Cage's show, some bad news Friday from Netflix. (via Deadline
One week after Iron Fist
was canned and the same day that the long-awaited third season of Daredevil
launched, Netflix has canceled Luke Cage
This axing of Luke Cage
came as a surprise to many. As actors like lead Mike Colter remained under contract, a formal Season 3 order seemed a foregone conclusion.
The pink slipping of Luke Cage
seems ultimately to have been a combo of the age-old creative differences and the inability for the parties involved to reach a deal, sources told Deadline.

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: 'HALLOWEEN' EARNS TERRIFYING $7.7M IN PREVIEWS10/19/18 @ 12:18 pm EST
Dynamite Entertainment is delivering great quality -- and quantity -- with its Bond comics these days, and James will land in a surprising but seemingly appropriate place as James Bond Origin
hits the November/December issue of Playboy Magazine
A special 6-page story from James Bond Origin
, which recently debuted at Dynamite, has been produced by the creative team of writer Jeff Parker, artist Bob Q, colorist Jordie Bellaire, and letterer Simon Bowland for Playboy
Like the comic proper, the story deals with a teenage James and his adventures during World War II.
In a way, the inclusion of Bond in Playboy
recalls a tradition of sorts begun when the magazine printed an Ian Fleming short story, The Hildebrand Rarity
, in its March 1960 issue.
