CrossGen's DVDs feature truly atrocious acting and horribly sterile studio recording work. Nevertheless, they are rather pleasing on the eye. And if you can't be bothered to turn the page of your comic, they represent the ultimate vegging out opportunity for comic book readers.

Someone's building a Free Comics Giveaway Flash Mob. Everyone around the world will congregate at a pre-arranged point in their nearest city and at a certain location at 7pm, give a free comic to a stranger.

This will be the world's first Flash Mob Ring. A new set of mobs occurring every hour, as the time zones pass around the world.

------- According to the recent Marvel Q2 announcement that's receiving plenty of online coverage, Bill Jemas is not available to due a business trip to China.

One can only speculate as to why he's there. Printing, distribution deals, checking out the local trifle but I like to think of him looking out across the oriental landscape thinking "I bet Rich Johnston doesn't know I'm here." He would, of course, be wrong.

And guess what. They all sound like geeks. With so many concerns over the direction of Marvel, with concern to the comics industry, it's good to know they're at least being run by our own.

------- There was a lot of talk about movies, that has been explored elsewhere. And some goading of DC for not having similar movie projects that could bring in oodles of cash. Well, that doesn't seem to be the case.
