ORIGINAL COMIC ART FROM FINCH, LAROCA AND THIBERT DONATED TO S.W.R.O. CHARITY FOR EBAY AUCTION

October 27, 2006, Runnemede, NJ - Saved Whiskers Rescue Organization, Inc. announced today that they have put up for auction eight pieces of Original Comic Book Art Pages!

The auctions consist of five pages from the Fantastic Four by Salvador Larroca and Art Thibert; and three pages from Marvel’s The Call: Brotherhood by David Finch.

The pages were donated to (S.W.R.O.) by the artists and are up for auction now through eBay at the following URL: http://stores.ebay.com/Purrs-4-Pam

These truly one-of-a-kind pencil and inked pages from Marvel’s Fantastic Four and The Call: Brotherhood are currently up for auction on Ebay with the bidding ending as soon as October 27th through October 31st, 2006. Fans and collectors should hurry if they want to add these amazing pieces of original comic book memorabilia to their collections!  And check it out- there are even a couple two-page spreads! How cool of a prize is that!!!

The pages up for auction are:

"I'm so grateful to both David Finch and Art Thibert (and Spencer Beck who helped coordinate the donation of the art) for their generous contributions. I've devoted myself to saving and helping animals, and Saved Whiskers Rescue is a truly worthy cause that allows me to help animals in need. These donations of the artwork are incredible! The funds from this auction will help us provide veterinary care and shelter for a few of the many stray cats and kittens that we come across,” explained Pam Ott, President & Founder of Saved Whiskers Rescue. ABOUT ART THIBERT:

Arthur "Art" Thibert is a comic book artist, inker and penciller. He is best known for his work as an inker for Marvel Comics on their various X-Men titles during the 1990s. His recent work includes covers for Flash and his creator-owned series Chrono Mechanics.

ABOUT DAVID FINCH:

David Finch is a comic book artist who got his start working for Top Cow Productions. After a lengthy stint on Cyberforce following series creator and studio founder Marc Silvestri, Finch went on to co-create Ascension with Matt "Batt" Banning. He would later work on the first three issues of Aphrodite IX with David Wohl. In 2003, Finch returned to comics for a year-long arc on Ultimate X-Men with writer Brian Michael Bendis. Following that stint, the duo moved on to Avengers, where they destroyed Marvel's premiere superhero team only to relaunch it as The New Avengers featuring a radically different cast. Finch is currently working on the new Moon Knight series together with novelist Charlie Huston.
