FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

MARV GETS BUSTED
DF Launches Line of "Legends" Collectible Busts

Sin City's Marv Up First

May 2, 2006, Runnemede, NJ – “This is blood for blood and by the gallon. These are the old days, the bad days, the all-or-nothing days. They're back! There's no choice left. And I'm ready for war.”

So said Marv as played by Mickey Rourke in the hugely successful Sin City feature film, adapted from the line of hard-boiled graphic novels written and created by the legendary Frank Miller.

Now, the first Bust in DF’s Sin City Collectible "Legends" Bust Series is here, sculpted by William Paquet and featuring Marv – the main man of Sin City! DF has previously offered three full-size statues featuring characters from Sin City (Marv, Nancy and Callahan)!

"With Marv and Sin City, I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity to give the big lug another go, and fortunate to have the support of a great team of creators with me through the process." Stated Paquet. "Miller creates visions of superb starkness. I use his illustrations to inspire my efforts, and Dynamic Forces brings it all together with a product that bleeds with as much passion as Marv deserves."

On the character of Marv, Paquet added: “He gets under your skin, like a parasite that takes over your body and eventually your mind; an itch you can't scratch. But you figure the best way to purge the feeling is to embrace it, nurture it, give it life in another form.”

The sculptor concluded: “That's Marv for me. That's why I revisit him now."

DF’s Marv Bust statue stands close to six inches tall and will be strictly limited to initial orders only! Don’t miss out on adding to your DF/Sin City Collection!

SIN CITY: MARV 'LEGENDS" BUST (MAY063110)
$49.99 MSRP

As with previous DF/Sin City releases, the quality on this new line of busts is second-to-none, and best of all, Paquet has crafted a bust in the popular style that most comic busts currently come in - the "legends" style - featuring legendary comic characters with sculptors destined to become legends - with which each subsequent release featured remaining in scale as the cast grows in this new line of DF/Sin City collectibles.

Strictly limited to just 1993 - the year Marv first burst onto the comic book scene -- pieces in the world, reserve yours today! Allocations may occur. The bust stands 5 1/2" high on a base of  2 1/8" x 2 3/4"
