BOOM! Studios is proud to present a new look at MECH CADET YU #5, kicking off a new story arc from the superstar dream team of writer Greg Pak (Hulk, Weapon X) and artist Takeshi Miyazawa (Ms. Marvel, Runaways) on January 3rd, 2018. The critically-acclaimed series follows the story of Stanford Yu, a young janitor who is unexpectedly chosen to join the storied ranks of the Mech Cadets of the Sky Corps Academy. Once a year, giant robots from outer space come to Earth to bond with the cadets to defend the world from terrifying aliens known as the Sharg. After he unintentionally bonds with an off-course robot, Yu is thrown into training, hoping to prove he is worthy of being there at all.

While the standard edition will remain in print, MECH CADET YU VOL. 1 DISCOVER NOW EDITION will be strictly limited to its initial print run and never reprinted.

Nickelodeon'IRON FIST' SEASON 2 TRAILER RELEASED AT SDCC07/20/18 @ 1:17 pm EST
has released a new trailer for its coming Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The trailer gives fans an extended sneak peek at the new status quo for TMNT as well as some of the various enemies they'll face.
The new series will star Omar Miller as Raph, Ben Schwartz as Leo, Josh Brener as Donnie, Brandon Mychal Smith as Mikey, Kat Graham as April O’Neil, and Eric Bauza as Splinter.
The full 26 episode series will air on Nickelodeon beginning Sept. 21.

KIM DWINELL ANNOUNCES SURFSIDE GIRLS SEQUEL FOR 201907/20/18 @ 1:08 pm EST
This Winter will see the release of Mercy Sparx issue #13, the long awaited return of the ongoing series, and follow-up to the companion miniseries Mercy Sparx: Year One. Joining creator Josh Blaylock is new co-writer Pat Shand, co-creator of the latest Devil’s Due Comics hit horror title, Little Girl.
Blaylock and Shand will bring to a close the epic story of Mercy’s final showdown with her mother, Faustia. A plot that was carefully teased and unveiled by Blaylock over the last several years.
“I’ve never let anyone else touch Mercy when it comes to our canon stories,” said Blaylock, “But as picky as I can be about how we portray her personality and character, Pat totally ‘gets’ Mercy Sparx.”
“Mercy Sparx is everything I look for in a comic as a reader, so I’m thrilled to join Josh as co-writer. From Mercy’s cast of unique characters to the unique mythology, we’ve got a lot to explore, and a lot of fun comics to create”

Syfy dropped a trailer that gave us the first look at the third season of Van Helsing
during their panel at Comic-Con — and it was filled with blood, action and a lot of vampire bodies hitting the floor.

reports that Johns, who revealed the news during his spotlight panel Thursday, will write and exec produce the 13-episode scripted original series for DC Universe subscription service. The drama hails from Warner Bros. Television and Greg Berlanti's studio-based Berlanti Productions, with Sarah Schechter also serving as an exec producer. The series will bow in 2019.Stargirl
follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. The series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America.

reports that, 10 years after it last aired, Star Wars: The Clone Wars
is returning with new episodes on Disney's forthcoming streaming service.
The news was announced Thursday by Lucasfilm animation chief Dave Filoni during a panel on the show's 10th anniversary at San Diego Comic-Con to huge applause.
"It's an anniversary — it's 10 years," Filoni told the crowd. "And you guys deserve something for being so great — a present, if you will. We got together and thought, 'If there is one thing we could give you, what would it be?'"
