Teen Titans Toon Update
by Bob Gough

Warning: Spoilers

Here’s a breakdown of February’s episodes of Teen Titans on Cartoon Network:

  • Saturday, Feb. 7: "Fear Itself?"
Raven doesn't fear anything. Or at least, that's what she wants everyone to think. But when a ghostly, unknown force starts hunting down the Teen Titans one by one, Titans Tower turns into a house of horrors -- and even Raven gets rattled. Will she be able to control her fear long enough to find out what's really going on?
  • Saturday, Feb. 14: "Date With Destiny"
A creepy criminal known as Killer Moth threatens to destroy the city with a flying army of Mutant Moths, unless Robin takes his spoiled-rotten teenage daughter Kitten to her junior prom. While the other Teen Titans are scouring the city in search of Moth's secret hideout, a reluctant Robin has no choice but to go along with the villain's bizarre demand.
  • Saturday, Feb. 21: "Transformation"
The beautiful Starfire has never thought much about her looks. But when a strange red bump appears on her forehead, Star becomes concerned. As she grows tusks on her neck, scales on her skin, and hideous clawed fingernails, the question becomes unavoidable- is Starfire turning into a horrible alien monster?
  • Saturday, Feb. 28: "Titan Rising"
Terra returns to Titans Tower, ready to join the team. But after what happened the last time they saw her, the Teen Titans aren't sure that's such a good idea. But Robin reminds her that everyone deserves a second chance. Can Terra win the Titans' trust and become a full-fledged member of the team?

Meanwhile, Wil Wheaton (Wesley on Star Trek: The Next Generation) will return to voice Aqualad in an upcoming episode called “Winner Takes All.” It’s described as:
"Robin, Cyborg and Beast Boy are transported to an alternate dimension. There, the mysterious Master of Games invited the heroes and five other super-powered teens (Aqualad, Speedy, Gizmo, Joto and Wildebeest) to participate in a friendly competition."

Guest voices in the second season include Mike Erwin as Speedy, Thomas Haden Church as Killer Moth, Keith David as Atlas, Xander Berkely as Warp and Henry Rollins as Johnny Rancid.

Aliens vs. Predator Heroine No Ripley
by Bob Gough

Sanaa Lathan, who plays the hero of the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator, says she’s no Ripley (referring to the Sigourney Weaver character of the first four Aliens films).

"She's the same as Sigourney's Ripley character in that she's very strong and independent, but I think that's probably about it," Lathan told Sci Fi Wire. "For one [thing], it's actually not in the future. This movie happens before all of the Alien movies. [The character] is kind of unique in that she is somebody who loves Antarctica and is very familiar with that territory."

Conan, Predator, Terminator Post-Arnold
by Bob Gough

Without Arnold Schwarzenegger (newly elected to the governorship of California) where will the Conan and Predator franchises go?

Reportedly, Fox wants to do a third Predator movie and yet another Alien film as well if the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator film does well.

The Governator says he might do a cameo in those or a Conan movie. ”If it reads good, and time allows, I could always do a smaller appearance. That would be fun. From what I hear, The Rock is going to star in it if it ever happens - and a new Terminator possibility - which he should, he is fantastic. He's a great actor, a fun presence to watch. Fantastic. We could share the screen sometime possibly," Schwarzenegger told Ain’t It Cool News.

”If the new Predator or Terminator, even Conan, have some new stars. That's great. A fresh injection. I'm not going away though - I could pop up when you least expect me," he said.
